Statement
"I ask myself questions like: What is the most minimal gesture
that will make an empty room feel like home? What does it mean when
your house has wheels underneath? What does it feel like when you live
inside a truck? What color is the upholstery on a nuclear submarine?
How does one remain anchored when everything else is in motion? Is home
a place or a thing? Is it a collection of things arranged in relation
to one's self? Is it an immutable sense independent of physical surroundings?
How does a person fit in a particular space? I have always been interested
in shelters, rooms, the secret lives of couches and wallpaper, and the
supposedly secure boundary between outsides and insides. I play with
these questions using photography, drawing, and collage."
