Statement
"At the age of 12 I began making pictures to preserve my memories
and then somewhere in that process I found a way to communicate. For
the past fifteen years I have been creating images as an expression
of the world around me and inside of me. In 2000 I became a magazine
photographer focusing on human-interest stories and sensitive cultural
issues mainly within the United States. My stories have brought me into
the lives of thousands of people. The past ten years have been an intense
journey through the human experience; that which drives us to create
and fuels our desires to leave a mark of our existence. Through pictures
I have been able to help myself and others find a voice unreachable
with other mediums - one which depicts both the moments we exist in
and what lies beneath them.
I have always been deeply intrigued in the human role in the cycle of
life and death and have dedicated my personal artistic body of work
to exploring this theme. "
