Steffan Hamilton lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was born on 12th June 1975, (if you can spot the Austerian coincidence e-mail Steffan at [email protected]) and has given up a full-time job in marketing to concentrate on writing fiction. He started writing poetry at the age of 17, and won a national competition held by the Riverside Studios in London. Steffan studied English Lit at University West of England and graduated in 1999.

Steffan is currently writing a film (forecast to show to the public in early April 2002- details to follow) and short stories which he will be entering on the competition circuit this year, and the first novel. He has recently been commissioned by The Independent, (who he writes for occasionally), to interview Paul Auster.
